Have you ever wanted to use the platformer physics for a top down shooter? Of course not! that's a dumb idea. And I just happen to be dumb, so I did! Why would you need this? Well, if can make your top down shooter more interesting!
So how do we do this? Well all takes is a little engine modding and changing some settings!
1. Create a new scene or use an existing one. 2. Set the scene type to "Platformer". 3. Go to "Settings" > "Platformer" and change "Gravity" to the speed you want to scroll. 4. Set "Maximum Fall Velocity" to a multiple of "Gravity". 5. Eject the engine. "Game" > "Advanced" > "Eject Engine" then click "Eject". 6. Download the .zip file below. 7. Extract it. 7. Go to your project folder > "assets" > "engine" > "src" > "states" and replace "platform.c" with the "platform.c" file from the downloaded .7z. 8. Enjoy!
NOTES: Left and right animations are the idle up and down animations.
